Sourdough Avocado Toast with Green Malli

Tart Green Tkemali cuts through rich avocado — brunch in five minutes.

Two slices of sourdough toast topped with mashed avocado

Toast sturdy sourdough until deeply golden. Mash ripe avocado with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon. Spread thick, then zigzag Malli Green Tkemali on top — start with a teaspoon per slice and add more for extra tang. Finish with flaky salt and black pepper. Optional: microgreens or a soft-boiled egg.

Ingredients

  • 2 thick slices sourdough bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Kosher salt and black pepper
  • 2–3 tsp Malli Green Tkemali, plus more to taste
  • Flaky salt, optional microgreens or soft-boiled eggs

Instructions

    Toast

    Toast bread in a skillet with a little butter or oil until crisp and golden on both sides.

    Mash

    Scoop avocado into a bowl, add lemon juice and a pinch of salt, mash with a fork leaving some texture.

    Assemble

    Spread avocado on toast. Drizzle Green Tkemali in a thin zigzag. Top with pepper, flaky salt, and optional greens or egg.
